TERMS & CONDITIONS
Terms and Conditions
Welcome to TAWAST.
These Terms and Conditions apply when you visit, browse, or shop at tawastclothing.com. By placing an order on our website, you agree to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.
1. Business information
This website is operated by:
TAWAST
CVR: 43688758
VAT: DK43688758
Knabrostræde 24, 1210 København K, Denmark
Phone: +45 66 55 31 97
Email: hello@tawastclothing.com
Please contact us by email before sending a return.
Throughout these Terms, “TAWAST”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to TAWAST. “You” and “customer” refer to the person using the website or placing an order.
2. Our products
TAWAST creates clothing made to order in our studio in Copenhagen.
We try to describe and display our products as accurately as possible. However, colours, textures and product appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen, device settings, fabric batch, lighting, and the handmade nature of the garment.
Product descriptions, prices, measurements, availability and materials may be updated from time to time. Any order you place will be based on the product information shown at the time you complete your order.
Because garments are made by hand, small variations may occur. These variations do not affect your legal rights if an item is faulty, not as described, or otherwise does not conform to the agreement.
3. Made-to-order and custom items
All TAWAST garments are made to order. This means the garment is made after your order is placed, instead of being mass-produced and held as ready stock.
A standard-size made-to-order item is not necessarily the same as a custom or personalised item. Standard-size items may still be covered by the ordinary right of withdrawal where required by law.
Items made to your specific measurements, with personalised adjustments, or with custom changes requested by you may be exempt from the ordinary right of withdrawal where allowed by applicable consumer law.
If an item is custom or personalised in a way that affects your right of withdrawal, this should be made clear before you complete your order.
This does not affect your legal rights if the item is faulty, not as described, or otherwise does not conform to the agreement.
4. Orders
When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy the selected product or products.
After you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. Please check the order confirmation carefully and contact us as soon as possible if anything is incorrect.
We may reject or cancel an order if, for example, the product is unavailable, there is an obvious pricing or product information error, we are unable to process the payment, we suspect fraud or misuse, or we are unable to deliver to the address provided.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.
5. Prices, VAT and payment
Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the website or at checkout.
Where applicable, prices include VAT. Shipping costs are shown before you complete your order.
For orders delivered outside the EU, customs duties, import taxes, handling fees or other local charges may apply. These charges are the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods offered at checkout. We do not store your full payment card details.
6. Production time, shipping and delivery
TAWAST pieces are made to order. The estimated production time is shown on the website or product page where applicable.
Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside our control, such as carrier delays, customs processing, weather disruptions, holidays, strikes, or other events.
For consumer purchases, the risk of loss or damage passes to you when you, or a person chosen by you, have received the product.
You are responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address. If an order is returned to us because the address was incorrect, incomplete, or the parcel was not collected in time, we may ask you to pay the cost of resending the order.
If your parcel appears lost or delayed, please contact us at hello@tawastclothing.com so we can look into it with the carrier.
7. Right of withdrawal / cooling-off period
If you buy from TAWAST as a consumer online, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.
The withdrawal period normally expires 14 days after the day you, or a person chosen by you, receive the item. If your order contains several items delivered separately, the period normally expires 14 days after the day you receive the last item.
To use your right of withdrawal, you must inform us clearly before the withdrawal period expires. You can contact us by email at:
You may use the model withdrawal form at the end of these Terms, but you do not have to use that form.
8. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The ordinary right of withdrawal may not apply to items that are made to your specific measurements, made according to your individual specifications, clearly personalised, or customised at your request, where this is allowed by applicable consumer law.
This may include, for example, garments made to personal measurements or garments with specific custom changes requested by you.
Standard-size made-to-order garments are not automatically treated as custom or personalised items only because they are made after the order is placed.
If your order is custom or personalised in a way that affects your right of withdrawal, this should be made clear before you complete your purchase.
The exception to the right of withdrawal does not affect your legal rights if the item is faulty, not as described, or otherwise does not conform to the agreement.
9. Returning an item after withdrawal
If you withdraw from a purchase, you must send the item back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day you informed us that you wished to withdraw.
Unless we have agreed otherwise, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item when using your right of withdrawal.
This does not apply to justified complaints about faulty items, which will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Please contact us at hello@tawastclothing.com before returning an item, so we can provide return instructions.
You are responsible for the item until it reaches us. We recommend using a tracked shipping method and keeping your proof of postage.
10. Condition of returned items
You may inspect the item in the same way as you would normally be allowed to inspect it in a physical shop.
You may be responsible for any loss in value if the item has been handled more than necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and fit.
Returned items should be clean, unused, and returned with any labels, tags, packaging, care instructions, and accessories included where possible.
We may make a deduction from the refund if the value of the item has been reduced because of handling beyond what is necessary.
11. Refunds after withdrawal
If you withdraw from a purchase, we will refund the payment received from you for the returned item, including the standard delivery cost if applicable.
We are not required to refund extra costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method that is more expensive than the least expensive standard delivery method offered by us.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the item back or until you have provided valid proof that you have returned it, whichever happens first.
If the item has been handled more than necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and fit, and this has reduced its value, you are responsible for that reduction in value. Where permitted by law, we may deduct the reduction in value from your refund or request repayment if the refund has already been issued.
Refunds are normally made using the same payment method you used for the original purchase, unless we agree otherwise. You will not be charged a fee by us for the refund.
12. Exchanges
Because TAWAST pieces are made to order, exchanges may not always be possible.
If you need a different size or would like to discuss an exchange, contact us at hello@tawastclothing.com. We will let you know what is possible in your specific case.
This does not affect your legal rights if the item is faulty, not as described, or otherwise does not conform to the agreement.
13. Faulty items and legal guarantee / right to complain
If you buy from TAWAST as a consumer, you have a legal guarantee/right to complain if a product is faulty, not as described, or otherwise does not conform to the agreement.
In Denmark and the EU, consumers generally have rights for up to two years from receiving the product.
If you believe your item has a fault, please contact us at hello@tawastclothing.com as soon as possible with:
• your order number
• a description of the issue
• clear photos of the item and the issue
If the complaint is justified, we will handle it in accordance with applicable consumer law. Depending on the situation, this may include repair, replacement, a price reduction, or a refund.
This does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, incorrect washing or care, accidents, misuse, improper storage, or changes made by the customer after receiving the product.
14. Care instructions
You are responsible for following the care instructions provided with the product or listed on the product page.
Damage caused by incorrect washing, drying, ironing, storage, alteration, or other care contrary to the care instructions is not considered a product fault unless otherwise required by law.
15. Gift cards
If TAWAST offers gift cards, the specific terms shown when purchasing the gift card will apply.
Gift cards cannot normally be exchanged for cash unless required by applicable law.
16. Promotions and discount codes
Discount codes, promotions and special offers may be subject to additional terms, such as expiry dates, minimum order values, product exclusions, or one-use limits.
Promotions may be changed, suspended or ended at any time, unless this would affect an order you have already completed.
17. Website information and availability
We try to keep our website accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or completely up to date.
We may update, suspend or discontinue parts of the website from time to time.
If there is an obvious error on the website, such as an incorrect price or product description, we may correct the error and, where legally allowed, cancel or refuse affected orders. If payment has already been taken for a cancelled order, we will refund the amount paid.
Nothing in this section limits your mandatory consumer rights.
18. Third-party services and links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services, including payment providers, shipping providers, analytics tools, email tools, or Shopify-related services.
We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
19. Shopify
TAWAST is powered by Shopify, which enables us to operate the online store.

21. Reviews, feedback and user content
If you submit a review, comment, photo, message, suggestion, or other content to TAWAST, you confirm that the content is your own or that you have the right to share it.
You allow us to use, reproduce, display and share that content for purposes connected with operating and promoting TAWAST, including on our website, social media, emails, and marketing materials.
We may edit or remove reviews or other user content if we believe it is unlawful, misleading, offensive, irrelevant, spam, or violates the rights of others.
We will not knowingly publish fake reviews or reviews in a misleading way.
22. Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found here: https://tawastclothing.com/pages/privacy-policy
Please read the Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use and protect personal data.
23. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where this would be unlawful, including your mandatory consumer rights.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TAWAST is not liable for indirect losses, loss of income, loss of business, loss of profits, loss of data, or other consequential losses arising from use of the website or purchase of products.
This limitation does not affect your legal rights if a product is faulty, not as described, or otherwise does not conform to the agreement.
24. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control.
This may include, for example, natural disasters, extreme weather, war, terrorism, strikes, transport disruptions, epidemics, pandemics, government actions, supply chain disruption, carrier delays, technical failures, or other events beyond our control.
If such an event affects your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
25. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue:
If we cannot find a solution, you may have the right to submit a complaint to the relevant consumer complaints body.
