To minimize fabric waste the scraps left over from cutting are repurposed for hair scrunchies. We make three different sizes of scrunchies so that we can use even the really small pieces of fabric.
Small: ~3 cm wide
Medium: ~4 cm wide
Large: ~5 cm wide
All of the sizes have an elastic band ~ 17 cm around. The large has the most fabric scrunched around and the small has the least.
“Ivory” a fresh slightly creamy white
“Black” a deep matte black
100% Organic Cotton, GOTS certified
The organic cotton is grown in Benin, Tanzania and India. The fabric is designed in Paris, France. Spinning, weaving, dyeing and washing of the fabric is done in La Loire, France. The fabric is GOTS certified, which means it includes strict environmental and social criteria for operations along the entire supply chain.
“Light Sage” a greyish frosty green like a sage leaf
“Hazelnut” a delicious light nutty shade
“Charcoal” an ashy dark grey
100% Organic Cotton
The fabric is handmade from GOTS certified yarn by an artisan family in Kerala, India. The yarns are dyed by hand and the weaving is done by hand on small powerlooms. The fabric is made in small batches so it is tricky to get the GOTS certification and it would require them working on a larger scale to get the end product GOTS certified.
As a natural and handmade material there is a type of roughness to the fabric. There are small irregularities and it wrinkles gracefully, which is a part of the spirit and the look of the fabric.
